I just got my copy of Barbarians of the Ruined Earth, a gonzo post-apocalyptic RPG using the Black Hack rules by Mike Evans. I got a chance to play this at the last Gen Con, and I’m happy to finally have the finished version.
It’s heavily inspired by the old Thundarr the Barbarian cartoon from the 80s. Players can be Barbarians, Beastmen, or other strange denizens of a world of “depravity,
Stupendous Science, and nefarious Sorcery!”
There’s an official fillable character sheet available at the creator’s blog.
I wasn’t completely happy with the provided fillable PDF, so I’ve made my own version with some small modifications:
- Fixed a small error – Charisma & Strength were always showing the same value.
- Larger fonts, especially for the stats
- Added check-marks to the literacy question.
- Allowed the user to click in the upper right-hand corner to import an image.
